PMCARE JOINS THE WAR AGAINST H1N1 The signing of the MoU between PMCare and Ranbaxy enables about 2,200 PMCare panel clinics to be registered under the “Klinik Cegah & Rawat H1N1” campaign. In line with the directive from the Ministry of Health (“MOH”) to make available the antiviral at private clinics, this MoU will ensure that the providers have sufficient supply of the antiviral directly from the manufacturers. The availability of the antiviral at all GP clinics will ease the burden and dependency on the government clinic and/or hospitals. At the same time, the ceiling selling price of RM80 will also make the cost of treatment for Influenza A (H1N1) more affordable to all PMCare’s Members which is currently stood close to 450,000 Members. In line with the government’s call to create awareness on H1N1, PMCare Medical Directors, Dr. Benjamin Sinappan and Dr. Helmi Ismail have been giving free health talks on H1N1 to their clients and Members nationwide. Among PMCare’s major clients are Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Telekom Malaysia Berhad, POS Malaysia Berhad, CIMB Bank Berhad, Proton Holdings Berhad, Bank Simpanan Nasional, Sapura Group of Companies and UMW Group of Companies. The PMCare panel clinics can download the registration forms at www.mediline.com.my to participate in the campaign or are welcomed to contact the respective Provider Network Executive (PNE) for further information on this campaign.
